Description: An upright legume with yellow flowers blooming throughout the summer. Common on sandy soils in pastures and open woods. The seeds are a good quail food and are eaten by many other species of birds. It is eaten by livestock and browsed by white-tailed deer. Can sometimes be increased by late winter burns. Foliage may partially close when touched. |
