Description: Typically found growing in ditches, along streams and around lakes and ponds as well as other moist places in the eastern two-thirds of our region. The inflorescence has up to 30 erect branches, and the spikelets occur in four rows along the branches. It is of little value to most wildlife species and it provides fair forage for cattle. |
