Description: Commonly found growing on meadows and prairies on medium to heavy textured soils in the eastern half of our region. It has a narrow inflorescence and its seeds are larger than other dropseeds. The inflorescence is sometimes eclosed in the upper sheath. Leaves taper to a fine point. It is of little value to wildlife and provides fair forage for cattle. |
