Description: A perennial wintergrass often found growing in the western part of our region. It is highly palatable and preferred by livestock. Its vegetation is erect and has a blue-green color. The spikelets overlap by half their length. The leaves are rough textured. It is of fair value as a forage to some wildlife species and provides good forage for cattle.
