Description: A deep rooted legume found on a variety of soils in prairies and open woods. An open or shrubby growth form with round shaped flower heads attached to the stems near the ends. Leaves and stems are covered with silver hair. Readily eaten by livestock and is browsed by white-tailed deer. Seeds are eaten by many species of birds.
