Description: A weedy occurring in fields and ditches throughout our region. The inflorescence is narrow, and each spikelet rests on a cup-like structure at the tip of a nearly glabrous pedicel. It forms bushy clumps and its leaves have dense, soft pubescence. It has good forage value for cattle.
