Description: A spreading vine-like legume with soft (or without) prickles. Found on a variety of soils in prairies, woodlands and disturbed areas. The numerous tiny flowers form a yellow puff or ball, hence the common name. The leaves are sensitive, closing when touched. Is eaten by livestock and may be a good wildlife food.
