Description: Occasionally found growing as a weed in waste places, roadsides and field borders. Sheaths are rounded with dense, rather stiff hairs. Leaf blades are sparsely covered with pubescence above. Awns are soft, allowing it to be grazed without injury. When immature, it provides good forage for some wildlife species and cattle.
